The most common cause of login failure is "Num Lock" and/or "Caps Lock" is on. "Num lock" replaces the center qwerty keyboard letters with a 10 key pad. The easiest way to test this is to open Notepad and type the password. If you see capital letters it's the "Caps Lock"; if you see any numbers it's the "Num Lock."
